Happy New Year! 🎉

Perhaps you are wondering if this is a good year to buy or sell a home.  That is a great question and it depends on your unique situation.  I provide this information to help you make educated decisions, but really it all depends on when YOU are ready to make a move.  If you want to talk about what your options are, the pros and cons of moving, or just share your dreams or hesitations, I'm here to help!

I'm genuinely thrilled about the opportunity to continue supporting my clients in their real estate endeavors this year. Being part of the journey as someone buys or sells their home is an absolute honor. People move for various reasons, each choice is deeply personal, and it's a privilege to guide them through this significant process.I take pride in working hard for my clients, always keeping their needs front and center. Here's to a year filled with successful real estate ventures and personal accomplishments! 🏡

In this month's Beacon Report, the median home prices in Bend are clocking in at $725,000, marking an increase from $685,000 just a year ago. That's a nearly 7% uptick. It's worth noting that 2023 saw rising interest rates and a shortage of homes for sale, but as we head into this year, we're anticipating a drop in those rates. Brace yourselves for more buyers entering the scene and an uptick in competition!

“Home buyers should be mindful of the fact that if they are hoping to buy a home as soon as rates fall, they aren’t the only ones,” said Matt Vernon, head of consumer lending at Bank of America, in reporting at The Wall Street Journal.

How has our median sales price changed over the years?  Well, let's take a look at the chart below.  This graph shows the median sales price every December since 2011.

How about home design?  Here are some design trends that experts say will define 2024.
