Purchasing your Home

Discover my Easy Buying Approach

There is no doubt that Bend, Oregon, is a desirable place to call home. Maybe it's the slower pace, a safer community, better public schools, and living only minutes away from outdoor recreation such as hiking, paddle boarding, and skiing. What are you looking for in your new home? Whatever it is, my goal is to match you with a home that suits your desired lifestyle.
Here are five tips for buying a home in Bend, Oregon.

Familiarize yourself with Bend area market trends.

Tip #1
It is beneficial to have some familiarity with the local housing market. Having a pulse on the market will help you feel confident and knowledgeable when making an offer and purchasing your new home. Choose a real estate agent that is committed to you.

Tip #2
Purchasing a new home is likely one of the most significant purchases you will make in your lifetime. It would be best if you had a knowledgeable agent who is dedicated to helping you every step of the way. I don't view real estate as a transactional business. I consider it a relationship that I strive to maintain before, during, and after I help someone make a move.
Do not limit your home search to the internet or magazines.

Tip #3
Use my home search app to search for listings in Central Oregon. My app utilizes the Central Oregon MLS to provide you with the most accurate and current information. It also eliminates 3rd party involvement. If you see something you like on the app, it is easy to reach out to me directly. I can dig deeper into the property and set up a time for a showing.
If you are a serious homebuyer, your best course of action is to reach out to me directly. We will have a conversation about what you are looking for in your new home and create a custom MLS search. You will receive an email as soon as a new listing meeting your criteria hits the market.

Be ready to make an offer.

Tip #4
Get pre-approved. Meet with a local Bend lender to determine what you can afford. Getting pre-approved is an essential first step on the path to homeownership. Please let me know if you would like any recommendations for lenders in the Bend area.
Be open to possibilities.

Tip #5
There is not one perfect house out there for everyone. You should recognize what is important to you in your new home and be open to all possibilities. You might be surprised!
Owning a home is one of the single best investments you can make in your lifetime. It would be an honor to help you or someone you know find their home in Central Oregon.
